  • The thesis titled A general inception criteria for the positive upward leaders in negative cloud-to-ground lightning" of my M.Sc. (Eng.) student Prasanth Kumar B. has been awarded the Best Masters Thesis at ISTE-L&T National Award for the electrical and electronics engineering, 2004

  • The Paper titled Direct time domain modelling of first return stroke of lightning has won Diploma award to my PhD student Ms. Rosy Balaram Raysaha in the 29th International Conference on Lightning Protection, Uppsala, Sweden, June 2008.

  • The Paper titled Special Case of Lightning Strike to Tall Objects on Ground has won Young Scientist award to my PhD student Ms. Rosy Balaram Raysaha in the 30th International Conference on Lightning Protection, Cagliari, Italy, September 2010.

  • BEST PAPER PRESENTATION AWARD & DIPLOMA to Mr. Subba Reddy for the paper "Pollution Flashover Studies on High Voltage Ceramic Insulator Strings", 11th IEEE Intl Student Conference on Electrical Engineering. The award consisted a cash prize of 2,500/-ck (Czech crowns) & gift pack sponsored by GE-Energy, Czech Republic and a Diploma certificate. Conference organized by Czech Technical University at Prague, 17th May 2007.

  • BEST PAPER PRESENTATION AWARD to Mr. Subba Reddy for the paper titled, "An innovative approach to improve pollution flashover performance of transmission line insulators", 32nd National Systems Conference-2008, organized by Systems Society of India at Dept. of Electrical Engg, IIT Roorkee, 17th - 19th Dec 2008.

  • APPRECIATION AWARD and cash prize of Rs.5000/- to Mr. Subba Reddy for the paper, "A Novel Technique for Improving the Pollution Performance of High Voltage Ceramic Insulators", 8th International Seminar on Electrical & Electronic Insulating Materials & Systems INSULEC-2009 held from 18th - 20th February 2009, Bangalore, organized by IEEMA Mumbai.

  • INAE-INNOVATIVE PROJECT AWARD-2011 to Dr. Subba Reddy for the best PhD Thesis given by Indian National Academy of Engg, New-Delhi. Award consists of certificate and a cash prize of Rs.10,000/-.

  • NRDC - Meritorious Societal Invention Award - 2011 to Dr. Subba Reddy, awarded by National Research Development Corporation (NRDC-DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, NEW-DELHI, February 2013. Award consists of a Certificate and Cash prize of Rs. 3 lakhs.
