Was Indian coordinator for an international project “Effects of Tropical Lightning on Telecommunication and Power Systems” funded by Swedish Research Council, headed by Prof. Vernon Cooray of Uppsala University. As a part of this project, measurements on electric field due to lightning discharge activities have been conducted at western ghat region of Karnataka state, India.
